Top Lice Removal Tips to Get Rid of Those Perky Pests
School-going children are famous for bringing back hair full of lice. My son did too and shared it with the rest of our family. It was such an embarrassing experience to have these tiny bugs crawling around all over the head. I did an extensive search on the internet to find out tips on effective lice removal, some of which I would like to share with you too.
The first effective lice removal method is to invest in a good nit comb. A nit is basically the egg of a head louse which can breed quite fast and spread the infestation. It is just not enough to remove the lice alone; only if the nits are removed, re-infestation can be prevented. Since these nits cannot be removed an ordinary comb or brush, use a good quality nit comb which comes with finely spaced teeth to remove both lice and its nits effectively. Though plastic lice removal combs are available, it is better to use metal ones as these can be cleaned and disinfected in boiling water.
Another effective type of lice removal comb is the electronic one. This works on a battery and emits a high pitched tone when the teeth come in contact with a louse. The other great advantage of using this is it discharges a tiny electrical charge which can zap and kill the lice and its nits. The electrical charge is so minute, so you do not have to worry about any damage to your hair or scalp and is extremely safe for use in children also.
There are many different lice removal shampoos that are also available in local stores and pharmacies. Among these, Licenex is a highly effective and natural one that can be used like a shampoo. Since it is natural and do not contain any harmful chemicals, you do not have to hesitate to use on children.
Use any good lice removal method and get rid of these bugs immediately from your child’s hair.
