Head lice are the major concern when it comes to the children mostly as they get it from their classmates. You might have tried with all that you know to fight against this problem and to complete vain in the end. Right?
Olive oil is the latest in this achievement and there are doctors who strongly recommend olive oil to work against head lice. Harvard School of Public Health has put their step forward in testing the same with a small experiment. For this they took 6 lice bugs and locked them in a little olive oil and kept it as such in an airtight container. To their surprise they found that all the bugs were perished in just two hours time thus proving olive oil for head lice to be the one of the effective way to clear them out.
You can get enough advantage from this as it can be done as a home remedy to treat head lice as it is one of risky problems to avail treatment for. For this, you can treat your head with olive oil massage before going to bed for around ten minutes and then plastic wrap with shower cap and have a good night sleep. Next day, wash the head completely with shampoo to remove oil and along with it you can also find that the bugs are dead now. As eggs are very small, it will be difficult to get rid of them by washing, for that you can use lice comb to run it all the way along your hair.
Continue the same for another three nights and then make it weekly once. Also, ensure that it does not reoccur and you are well away from it for long!
