The first time her kids had head lice, she spent $300 on pesticide treatments before the lice were gone.

The first time my child got head lice, I spent almost $300 on Rid and Nix before we finally got rid of them. I hated putting all that poison on my daughters’ head and spraying the pyrethrin spray on the furniture and pillows. I spent hours and hours inspecting her head and combing out nits and more hours vacuuming and washing bedding, clothing, hats and jackets. My little girl was only 3 and had long hair. I had to take her out in the sunlight and comb for two hours straight to get all the
nits out.
