Lice are small wingless parasites that are found on the scalp and hair of a person. They live on the small amounts of blood that they suck from the body. Head lice requires warm and humid environment to survive on the scalp of a person. By nature these creatures are contagious and are easy to spread among the children of 3 to 12 ages who play close together.
Total elimination of head lice may require the application of medicines that are specially made to treat head lice. Using of home remedies such as cooking oil, mayonnaise, vinegar and other combinations of such home remedies are proved to be successful in eliminating head lice. Using ordinary shampoos on hair on regular basis will not help you to get rid of the head lace.
